Visteon, a Ford spin off

Visteon was formed from Ford climate, electronics and vehicle interior activities. It became an independent business in 2005. Its early years were difficult and its UK subsiduary was declared insolvent in 2009.

Since then, the Visteon emphasis has been on automotive cockpit electronics and it has widened its customer base beyond Ford, serving vehicle manufacturers in Asia, Europe and North America.
